This is such a powerful story of fourth generation farmer Michael White and his family’s fight against Monsanto (and their death threats and intimidation tactics) for the right to save seeds. Thanks Kristy Jackson for sharing this video and post by Neil Young.
Seeing our family farmers suffer for the sake of a corporations profit has to stop. But how? What one farmer has the infinite resources for lengthy court battles? How can I make a difference?
Well, the only thing I can think of comes down to how we choose to spend our money.
Hit monsanto where it hurts and refuse to purchase any of their products.
I’d like to think it’s possible to stop the big bullies, like Monsanto, by peacefully refusing to fund them.

Regarding #StopTheDARKAct
You may have also heard of the DARK (Deny Americans the Right-to-Know) Act in which congress votes on whether or not U.S. citizens have a right to know if they are ingesting GMO food/ingredients. Who’s the biggest name in GMO? Monsanto.
Natural Society has this Update if you are new to this information : The DARK Act, making mandatory GMO labeling ‘illegal,’ has passed the House. It must now be voted on by the Senate, which is the last hope for defeating the bill.
If you are wondering how to contact your representatives:
- These are the U.S. Representatives who voted to ban GMO labeling and deny your right to know what you’re eating
- Here is text you can use to write them: Tell Congress: Oppose the DARK Act!
- You can also Contact Congress thanks to Just Label It by filling out a form that will send an email to your members of Congress!
