Sometimes it’s a little imagination and sense of humor that can get your brand noticed. I call this the ‘tomato night club effect’.
Recently, while I was poking around on Reddit, I came across this photo Subway: Tomato Nightclub submitted by Deic. Not only did it make me smile . . . it made me want an Italian B.M.T. and a bag of chips.
What does this experience have to do with your brand? Well, if you’re still on the fence about your brand using social media or you’re not even listening to what people are saying about your company online . . . read on.
Believe it or not there are still plenty of companies that are terrified of using social media because of what fans and followers might say. These companies are paralyzed by the fact that the wall between consumer and company has come down and continue to ignore this thing called the INTERNET and insist on operating in the archaic land of yellow page ads.
Guess what? People will talk about your brand whether you are listening or not. Ask your self, when it Comes to Social Media- Are You Really Listening?
By embracing user generated content and listening and paying attention to where your brand advocates are online you can take a good relationship to great just by sharing their enthusiasm for your product/service. You can also triage those who are very vocal and unhappy with your service/product and turn the situation around. It’s no secret that people take to social sites to share the good and the bad.
